TILLY-SUR-SEULLES
Temporary exibit taking place in Tilly-Sur-Seulles
involving military equipment the soldiers wore in the Battle of Normandy.
Discover the equipment used by the soldiers during the Battle of Normandy
A game is suggested to kids in helping them sort out the different nationalities
and different equipment of the various units involved in the 80 day campaign.
Every weekend and bank holiday.

The History of Arromanches
From the origins of the small fishing port to the creation of the artificial harbour
(codename : Mulberry), and the seaside architecture,
the streets of Arromanches reveal a precious destiny

D-Day battlefield sites in Normandy
In the British sector of Longues-sur-Mer
Every day since the beginning of July and all the way through until September 1st 2017.
One of the major construction sites of the “Altantic Wall” (propaganda name), the
coast defensive German gun battery of Longues-sur-Mer
has a command post and 4 gun battery bunkers.
Overlooking cliffs faced towards the channel,
this place played a strategic important role during
the June 6th D-Day landings.
This gun battery has the original guns still inside !
Visits in French and in English
Duration 1 hour
Starts at the Longues-sur-Mer tourist office.
10:15 am – 11:45 am – 2:15 pm – 3:45 pm
Adults : € 5 11 to 17 : € 3 Free for kids under 10 years of age.

Commemoration of General Leclerc 2nd Armored Division (2nd AD) landing
on July 30th, 1944 and the 70th anniversary of his death.
10 a.m.: Commemorative ceremony, at Leclerc Monument
11 a.m.: Mass in memory of 2nd AD Veterans, at the church.
