Photographic exibit of pictures taken at that time period.
In different places of memory at Omaha Beach.
A little booklet will be handed out
to discover the exibit and the different trails to follow.

involving military equipment the soldiers wore in the Battle of Normandy.
Discover the equipment used by the soldiers during the Battle of Normandy
A game is suggested to kids in helping them sort out the different nationalities
and different equipment of the various units involved in the 80 day campaign.

Every weekend and bank holiday.
May 1st to October 1st

D-Day battlefield sites in Normandy

In the British sector of Longues-sur-Mer
German gun battery from the sky

Every day since the beginning of July and all the way through until September 1st 2017.
One of the major construction sites of the “Altantic Wall” (propaganda name), the
coast defensive German gun battery of Longues-sur-Mer
has a command post and 4 gun battery bunkers.

Overlooking cliffs faced towards the channel,
this place played a strategic important role during

the June 6th D-Day landings.
This gun battery has the original guns still inside !

Visits in French and in English

Duration 1 hour
Starts at the Longues-sur-Mer tourist office.
10:15 am – 11:45 am – 2:15 pm – 3:45 pm
Adults : € 5 11 to 17 : € 3 Free for kids under 10 years of age.
