at the time of the landings

Utah beach

Understand the construction of the Altlantic Wall’s bunkers
and why it was a successful landing in part
due to Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt Jr.

 

The following full day we will see :

Pointe du Hoc

D-DAY’s most dangerous mission where U.S. Rangers
scaled 100 ft. high cliffs

Omaha Beach

Walk on this emotional beach where so many
brave soldiers gave their lives,
(3600 casualties in the first 3 hours)

German Gun Battery in Longues-sur-Mer

We will see the famous gun batteries,
featured in the movie “The Longest Day”
where the cannons are still inside.

The articifical harbour (remains) code named
“Mulberries” also known as Port Winston
